Audio Engine inactive error in LP

    Hi,

    please start with checking that you do not have ‘Only load plug-ins needed for project playback’ enabled. Next you can try with having an empty MIDI block at the beginning of your Logic track.

    Other things to check is that your audio hardware isn’t used by other applications at the same time, even though most audio hardware these days should be multi-client with Core Audio.

    Yes. That must have been the issue. I don’t recall that behavior in previous versions of Logic. Thank you!

    It has been there since Logic 10. Perhaps you didn’t notice it because you had a region in the instrument track. As long as you have a region in the track (even an empty region), the plugin will load.
