I have recently added an Edrumin to my e-kit set up and have had a lot of success with Yamaha cymbal pads and Roland VH-10 Hi Hat. I cannot however seem to get the right balance when using either XP80 or XP100SD Yamaha TCS drum pads and Edrumin to trigger (particularly) snares in SD3. When I use the Yamaha module and same pads, I can get much better dynamics across the whole velocity range that I cannot seem to get with Edrumin. I can do low and medium velocity buzz rolls, Fast single and double strokes without “machine gunning” and still get 127 velocity heavy hits with Yamaha module. I am finding the Yamaha drum pads seem to be not “sensitive” enough with the Edrumin controller and a fairly high gain is needed to get 127 velocity hits. This then ruins the low velocity sensitivity/dynamics and causes double triggering and loses the realism I currently have. Any e-drummers out there who have used Yamaha TCS drum pads and Edrumin to trigger SD3 (or EZD3)? cheers, Andrew
