Hi!
I have a slight problem with all the Toontrack Drum software. When I play using Superior Drummer 2/3/ EZdrummer, the first cymbal stays choked after I use it one time, that is it sounds choke even if I’m not pressing the choke zone. Addictive drums 2 does not have that problem, as well as the module itself, with them both working as expected.
I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work! Midi presets, setting all by hand, etc. Is there any way to unchoke the cymbal short of restarting the program? Because that’s the only way it unchokes.
Any help would be appreciated, as SD3 is kind making me want to leave AD2 behind, but that problem is a dealbreaker!

Thanked by: loutowartHi everyone,
I have a Carlsbro CSD 601 and ran the EZD3 about a week ago. I have the same problem with the choke.
I can’t find the settings for “Single choke mode” in the menu.
Could you please help me again with details?
Thank you!
Best regards
Heinz-Georg
There is no fix for EZD3 and hasn’t been for several years, I cannot recommend doing business with this company. Single choke mode is not a setting in this app via the edit menu and using the correct preset makes no difference.
Cymbals should not stay muted if you are using the right preset: Alesis > Nitro (in EZD3/SD3). In SD3 you could also use a different/custom preset if you just make sure that “Single Choke Mode” is turned on in the Edit menu.
In EZD2 (version 2.2.3), use the preset “Alesis Nitro/Surge.”

Unsure if you’ve actually tested your product before responding but this is factually incorrect for EZD3 and it remains muted regardless of using the correct preset. There are several posts here and on reddit over the years confirming this yet your company does nothing about it….
