Alesis DM6 and SD midi mapping

Hello All –

I’ve been having an issue related to my Alesis DM6 and Superior Drummer. The DM6 is connected to my Macbook Air via USB; however, when used as MIDI through SD the BD is almost non-existent. I’m using Ableton Live as my DAW and still am unable to get much sound from the BD. Everything appears to be mapped correctly in SD. I’m getting a reading that shows the BD is triggering correctly, however there’s very little presence. Also, the levels are showing normal when struck. Not sure if it’s my USB cable, or my DM6. Anyone else experience this issue? Perhaps my Macbook Air’s sound card blows? Or I need a different type of USB cable? Been driving me nuts.
