this is the new mix that I made from a song that Ibanez france published last week.

i did take time to tweak the behemot kit in the death library. a lot of Mike-E’s / lil eq’s comps on kick, snare, overheads, and drums busses ( I use parrallel compression on all the kit )
there’s a 480 from relab on the snare ( and the guitar too ) but I loved SD3’s plate with a sidechain comp to create a ducker.
fore those about delay, there’s a tape echoes running all around the guitar surrounded by a 2290, heavy ducked delay that I love.
I was amazed to be able to choose level output for articulations like bell shank, it made my mix much easier.
the original video with the old mix is here…I used the yamaha purple kit, but did not have time to go as deep as needed into the mix.

as I used to make demos for FXpansion and I’ currently mixing a big prog album, it’s the first time I really go deep in SD3 that I purchased a few months ago only. and I LOVE IT !
