If your drummer wants to use Reaper, let him. He should use whatever he feels comfortable recording with. You can bring it into SD3 after he has recorded the MIDI into Reaper.

Thanks Jordon.  It wasn’t the he wanted to use Reaper, we weren’t sure what the best method is to do this.  I did export his midi from Reaper earlier and dropped it into SD3 and it worked like a charm.  I thought there might be issues but this seems to be the best solution – for now anyway.  Thanks again for your input.

No worries Daryl. For any type of MIDI recording I like to use my DAW since it is more like a one stop shop and I can do things in part more easily. I also use the arrangement markers in Logic Pro X to move around sections of a song, which affect all tracks involved so having everything in my DAW to start works for me. Any drum editing can then be moved to Superior Drummer. That’s just my workflow FWIW.
