I’m looking at using SD3 as a sound source for my Alesis Strike Pro SE for live playing with a band. However, currently I have some WAV loops loaded into the Alesis that I trigger hitting a tom rim that the band syncs to. My question is– Can I replicate this when switching to SD3? I know you can import samples into SD3, but can you import and trigger loops? Set them to trigger on with a hit, and then stop later with a subsequent hit? I’ve not been able to find any loop settings in the SD3 manual and am wondering if anyone has done this.
Thanks!
Hi David, do you also want to switch between different sets on your live gigs? If yes, you will need something like gig performer. This will also solve your wish to play and stop loops and all that stuff.

You should google it 😉
There is too much in it and with it to describe here 😁
Ok, I read up on it a bit, but am still confused as to how gig performer would trigger loops, and why I might need it if I’m only using SD3? Not challenging your answer, I just am not clear how gig performer solves what I was asking?
Thank you for your time!
