Hi everyone
I’m confused with Toontrack licensing policy
Toontrack allows two(2) active authorizations at one time with four(4) total authorizations. This means that you can have two computers authorized to use your Toontrack product concurrently (however not in use at the same time, as per the EULA)
I plan to buy a new laptop, so I will have 2 machines to use Toontrack products. I have EBX, EZKeys 2, and SD3 with midi packs. I have read about how to use the license, my understanding is I can’t have SD3, EBX, and EZkeys open on my laptop and my PC at the same time using 1 license, correct? I can authorize the products on my laptop and PC but I cannot use them at the same time, is how it works?
Thanks
I can have EZkeys2, EZdrummer3, Superior Drummer 3, EZbass, and EZmix all open and working at the same time on two computers simultaneously with no problems.
If you’re concerned about new computers coming into play, you have the ability to deactivate old computers easily, at will, from “any” computer that you have the free Product Manager installed on. It’s not like an ilok situation or anything (thank you Toontrack!!).
The system is really good. In the past 10ish years since the Product Manager worflow was introduced, if I ever went over my registered computer count/activations and my software got locked up, a support ticket and explanation fixed it pretty quickly.
