Tested on two Win10 computers. SD3 Standalone.
Launching SD3 and then loading my SD3 projects file from the “File>Open” and all is good.
Launching SD3 by clicking on my SD3 project file (from my desktop for example) results in an unstable SD3. The loading is off, the SD3 splash logo appears and reappears, and on my Win10 that has weaker specs, often results in a freeze.
This was a huge bummer because I launch SD3 via project file, instead of opening the project file after SD3 is launched, so I thought I was having computer issues. Besides SD3 going down while broadcasting a concert live on one occasion, I stress tested and tore this computer apart for about 20 hours. It was a stressful experience and endeavor. Not until I had nothing else to try did I finally suspect SD3.
I recommend seeing if this is the case on your end and adding it to the fix list. I work mission critical once a week with SD3 and now I’m suspicious of it. This is using the latest version of SD3 and an up to date Win10 as of last week. Tried different audio drivers while testing, fyi. I’m about to get this computer back to location and simply use the Open File method I explained earlier. I hope this works 100%.
Thanks!
