My friend installed the latest update for EZDrummer 2 and the whole thing suddenly disappeared. I went over to try and sort it out for him but, every time I tried to re-install EZD2 I got the same result. The installation completed and I got to the “close” button, but when I clicked it, PM immediately reverted to “Install Product”, and neither EZD2 or its stand alone version showed up in my applications folder or on my desktop.
My friend has an older iMac, running on High Sierra, and uses an older version of Garage Band, because he doesn’t like the new version, which I totally understand by the way.
All he wants is to go back to the version of EZD2 that worked, but it won’t install, and Toontrack Support doesn’t seem to understand what I’ve been asking them. Everything was perfect before this latest update.
Run the installer for the latest software update (and click the Customize button in the installer to select what plug-in formats you want). Then you should be able to launch EZD2. If it asks you to browse for the sounds, try selecting Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer (unless you know that they are somewhere else).
