Long time user here – my primary workstation requires a few updates to go to Windows 11, and I was considering starting from a clean install. In the past I’ve had to keep count of the number of authorizations/activations, which had a hard cap. And at points I’d need to have a product’s activation count reset to get things re-installed.
Looking at the current authorization dialog it would appear that the cap has been removed and that in this case I’d just need to de-authorize the computer I’m going to scorch and then re-install/re-authorize. So my questions would be:
Thanks in advance,
-greg
Hi,
after a certain period of time, the inactive Authorisations are reset. The number of Active Authorisations are still the same.
An OS wipe and clean install *should* not require a new Authorisation.
