I was using my DAW when I noticed my plug-ins were not loading. I tried logging into my account, but it stated that no account existed with that e-mail. Upon checking my junk e-mail, I noticed that a couple of weeks ago the e-mail and password on my account was changed to a new e-mail, and I was not the one to make this change. It appears to have been changed again since then, as the e-mail that it was changed to is no longer linked to my account. I am at a loss as to how this happened – my anti-virus software shows no compromise on my end. I am really frustrated and need to recover my account and instruments. I have sent a note to info@toontrack.com, but would love any guidance or support that can be offered in the interim… three to five business days time frame is agonizing at this point considering the amount of instruments I have lost. I would really like to know how this happened.
Please advise,
VX
(The account I am using to make this post is different than the account that was linked to my ToonTrack purchases. That e-mail is no longer associated with an account due to the hacking).
I’m sorry this has happened. I’m not sure forum mods can offer any assistance other than moral support. Toontrack Support will need to look into your case directly.
