I’m neck deep in the middle of a song, using Reaper x64 in Windows 10 and the drums are driving me insane! The play comes back wishy washy….almost like there’s a flanger or something on the drums themselves.
Prior to posting this, I did go through all my guitar tracks, plugins, etc; and it all brought me back to the drums.
Is this something anyone else has encountered, or am I the odd one out? I really just want the drum track to not sound like its being played from behind a waterfall.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated
My first question is: what is your workflow? Are you using the EZD2 Song Track to arrange the drums? The Reaper MIDI editor? Both?
If you are using the Song Track and then dragging and dropping that to the Reaper MIDI Track, you would be playing 2 tracks of the same MIDI at the same time. The result is a flanging sound as the samples are picked and played back for both. If you do have MIDI on the Song Track and Reaper track at the same time, disable Follow Host in EZD2.
Other than that, I can’t wager a guess with the info provided.
