id like to share with you the source code for EZSequencer.
its a polyrhythmic sequencer built in Max 8.
it talks to Logic Pro X [or whatever you use] via rewire, that talks to EZDrummer2. its capable of accessing *every* sample set in a kit really easily. so if you select the hi-hat, you get *all* the hi hat sounds right in front of you, no problem. you can create really lovely patterns pretty damn quickly. you can even use an iPad with Mira installed, so you can input the sequences without a mouse. but you dont need Mira, so dont worry 🤙
here is a video demo of it in action

i built it months ago, but now ive released it for you all to use & even to build upon it
https://github.com/lewlepton/ezsequencer
the read me file goes into bits of detail about it, plus the video has a desciption of what it does, & i do talk about the problems it has. these are out of my hands though. i do plan to do OSC support, when i have time, but it does work very well & is super fun
the sample set hits are hard coded, but should work for a good major portion of EZDrummer2 sample libraries. but i do know there are some sample libraries that have slightly different MIDI notes. but this was used with the built in sample libraries, as well as the post-rock library
have fun & happy drumming 🤘

Sounds interesting, but it also sounds like you need another app to use it in Logic. It might be more advantageous for Logic users to create something in a MIDI FX script.

Thanked by: Loren Leptonaye, i wish max 8 isnt needed. though i [for some reson] cant build a runtime version of it. the runtime is basically an un-editable version. but once it works, finally, ill put that up as well
i have be eyeing up to build it in c++/openFrameworks as well. but damn, the amount of work, woof. but also looking at other areas which could take away the need of another application
personally, id prefer straight up connection to logic, or whatever DAW. not to dance around. but i do have other ipad apps which do some good jobs, just not exactly what this one does
but thanks
