Hi, what’s the logic behind the order of sounds on the map in Superior Drummer 3? It seems erratic to me, you have one instrument sounds scattered all over the place in groups and even in separate sounds.
Most likely the mapping is based on keyboard finger drumming and a mapping scheme that Toontrack has used for years.

The standard articulations within SD3 are contained within the General Midi specifications. Thus, if one were to maintain those specs, grouping the various articulations would not be possible in that sense.
And as @Scott alluded, it makes far more sense to spread out the articulations for the purpose of using two hands when finger drumming on a keyboard than to keep them together. On a pad controller, it really wouldn’t matter as you can modify the pads to suit your playing style.
