When I adjust the “amount” knob to add more ghost notes to a loop with a sixteenth note swing feel, it adds them with a straight feel instead. Totally ruins the feel of the original loop. Is there a way to keep the extra ghost notes in a swing feel? I don’t want to quantize the whole loop, because it will lose the human feeling.
You could cut the midi block up into small sections you want the ghost notes in. Use the amount knob to add extra straight note durations. And then only quantize that instrument with triplets you added the straight ghost notes to. Then merge your midi block chunks back together. Can’t think of another solution without a DAW. The amount knob won’t do triplets, just straight notes that you then have to quantize into triplets.
You could find another beat in your midi library that has the ghost notes you want and copy them out of that beat and paste them into the beat you’re working on.
