This may be a total newb question…
I’ve got a song in Reaper at 55 bpm.
The beat I want to use in Superior Drummer is listed as 67 BPM. If I pop it straight into Reaper, all is well.
In EzKeys, I choose a riff that’s showing at 130 BPM.
When I drag it into Reaper, naturally it sounds very slow.
How do I insert the keys part and have it play at desired tempo to match the drums?
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
that’s one of the perks with using MIDI files – they adapt to the tempo of the host. If you feel your EZkeys MIDI file plays too slow, the only option is to double the Tempo of it, if you still want it to play in time with the drums. This can be done in Reaper, most likely in several ways, but one way is to right-click the MIDI and go to ‘Item properties’ and set the playback rate to ‘2’ instead of ‘1’.
