Was considering an EZkeys purchase, and thought, “Well maybe I’ll go for a bundle. Let’s see what you save?” When I go to the bundle page for base + 3 EZkeys expansions I see a notification that I’m going to save $238 USD, compared to purchasing separately. Sounded awesome, right? Until I looked at the price and the individual purchase options.
You buy a single EZKeys setup for 180 bucks USD. Add 2 expansion packs at $90 bucks a pop (which it actually prompts you to do if you just order 1) and that comes up to a total of $360. Which is a $60 savings over the $300 bundle, which isn’t insignificant, but it’s a long shot from $240.
Now, if you bought 3 separate complete libraries at $180 a pop, then that’s $240 dollars less than the $299. But why would I even do that? Especially considering that when you buy 1, it asks you if you want to add another one for $90. Also notice that when you order 3 it doesn’t figure out that you did a bundle, even though the bundle link is there when you’re browsing.
So am I missing something here? Is there some description I didn’t see, or is it basically just that I’m saving $60 bucks and that’s it. Or have Europe and the US diverged to the degree that math is different now as well?
Not obsessing one way or another over what the answer actually is. Just want to make sure I understand this before I actually hit order.
I guess sometimes no answer actually is an answer. I’d just delete it but that ability isn’t enabled, so let’s just leave it at, “I guess I should just recognize hyperbole when I see it.”
