I’m really new to using both of these programs but I was wondering if it makes sense to load EZD via Kontakt or not, if that is even possible? I usually load EZD as a vst into my DAW, Reaper. I have recently started working with Virtual Instruments and was wondering about EZD and if there are advantages to loading it in Kontakt.
I am very much interested in how you all do this.
Thanks,
Don…..
EZD is its own virtual instrument and not a Kontakt expansion. EZD and EZXs can load in Toontrack samplers like S3 but not other manufacturer’s samplers.

Can I use the midi from EZD2 to trigger Kontakt sounds without having to drag it into the daw first?
Hi,
if you Enable the MIDI Out in EZdrummer 2, then yes, you can trigger other Virtual Instruments from the plugin.
Note that Toontrack Extended General MIDI can trigger notes that aren’t mapped exactly as expected in your other VI’s.

John
