Hi, I have recently purchased an 8TB Glyph 7200 RPM Hard drive to store (and access) my Superior Drummer Libraries (and Logic Projects and probably Video for Final Cut Pro). I’ve previously been using a Lacie Thunderbolt Rugged hard drive for the same purpose but it’s been getting filled up so I bought the 8TB Glyph Hard Drive so that I’d have plenty of free space . So I want to copy all the Superior Drummer Libraries to the Glyph. I’m pretty sure that I just drag the SL-Allaire, SL-Decades etc onto the new hard drive and then redirect the path in settings but one big concern I’ve had is if I move the libraries to a different external drive than where I originally installed them, how does the Product Manager find the new location? I know that within Settings, I can change the path of where it is searching for the libraries when I’m using them but occasionally there have been updates to the SDX’s (and EZX’s and EZ Keys, EZ Mix), and I’m worried that the Product Manager won’t be installing those updates to the correct (newest) location of those libraries. I have the same question/concern regarding the midi files I purchase, or the midi grooves that come with each of the SDX Expansion packs. How can I know that the Product Manager is sending the updates to the correct location? And where is or where should all of the midi be stored that comes with the SDX’s, EZX’s and separately purchased Midi Packs? And how does the Product Manager find the correct location of those folders too? Sometimes I’m not sure if all of the midi grooves have been installed that are available to me from my SDX purchases especially. Somewhere along the way, I think I created a Superior Drummer 3 folder (unless that was created by Toontrack and I forgot) but that folder is where I’ve stored all of my SDX sound libraries (although I see signs of them on my internal drive too which I may have been afraid to delete). But I also see a Midi Folder that I may have (incorrectly?) dragged into that same Superior Drummer 3 folder on the external drive which only shows NY Vol 3 and Roots folders (but no .mid files…). I’m just confused as to where all of those midi files should go. I hope my questions make sense. I’m hoping to use the same Glyph Hard Drive with 2 computers (a MacBook Pro and an iMac).
