Hi,
I’m currently demoing EZ Drummer 2 and strongly considering buying it in the next week.
However I’m having an issue with the syncing of the tap to find. I’m using the software in conjunction with Reaper and it seems to be synced up fine in every other respect.
I select a two bar loop of my music in Reaper (to match the 2 bar length in tap to find) and then click on ‘tap to find’ and the click within ez drummer starts and it is perfectly in time. I tap in my two bar pattern on kick and snare. Then, on the first repeat as Reaper goes back to bar 1 of the loop, ‘tap to find’ goes to the centre of its two bar grid. Then as it hits the end a bar later it thereafter always goes back to bar one, meaning it is now always on the opposite bar to where I want it to be.
I’ve tried it in a couple of Reaper projects and always end up with the same result. The bars of the song map in EZ drummer are aligned correctly with Reaper though, the problem only seems to exist within Tap to find.
Wondered if you had any advice? Thank you.
I recorded a test video of this in Logic, is this what you are trying to do in Reaper?

That is what I was trying to do, but it wasn’t working correctly. After I put in kick and share on the first pass, the tap2find, instead of repeating from bar 1 would instead jump back to bar 2 of the pattern, as my daw went back to bar one. This put my kick and share pattern a perfect bar out of sync with my guitar pattern in reaper.
That said, I purchased the full version of ez drummer yesterday and dont have the problem now. So i wonder was this a restriction or a glitch in the demo version?

It is most likely just a bug in the Demo!

Hi,
Sorry but the problem is now persisting, even in the purchased version.
I have attached a youtube link that hopefully demonstrates. See what the tap2find does just after my first pass entering notes. It repeats from bar 2 only, and then subsequently from bar 1. Meaning that if I want to add further drum hits I’m doing it on the opposite bar to the one I want. Of course I can manage this, but it is not ideal.
Thanks
Rob

If you do the same thing, but having the loop on an even bar in Reaper (say 12 to 14), does it behave in the same way?
