I never used EZDrummer on this, but thought i’d put it up.
I used some samples from BBC News when Iraq broke out.
I used
Cubase 5
TC Konnect
Line 6 Variax 700, that i regret selling
and a few virtual instruments for trumpets etc
I think it was the first song i wrote and recorded from when i swapped from Cool Edit to Cubase.
Well written, crafted song. Liked this one a lot, the theme an content, very current. The stripped back instrumentation really worked for me. Any critique I would have is simply based on my taste, I found the keyboard “trumpet” a little distracting, perhaps out of context for me, with the other acoustic instruments, for my taste, perhaps a more realistic instrument as I liked how it worked as a counter melody, just the tonality I guess I found distracted me. Other than that mate, nice work.

Thanks for listening and commenting Brad.
The trumpet was my attempt at creating a bit of the feeling of TAPS at US military funerals that i had seen on TV.
I wrote it in about 30mins and had Rev1.0 an hour or so later! (great when that happens and so much easier when no drums are involved.)
Thanks again.
