I own Superior2 and would like to upgrade to Superior3.
If I purchase the S3 SSD sound library .. can it be used as an actual work drive or is it meant only as an install device for the sounds to be transferred to another hard drive? (ie: Native Instruments Ultimate includes a drive but it is solely for installation use and can’t be used as an actual sound library drive)
It is a USB3 drive and SSD. Our intention is that people should be able to just plug it in and work with it.

Thanks so much for your quick reply and answer! The ability to “plug and play” as well as simply duping the drive to another SSD for a second studio system (and backup) makes it a valuable option.
Toon Track should add this information in a simple few words to let all know as they upgrade!
From the product page:
The full core sound library pre-installed on a 256 GB solid-state drive (SSD). This is a quality drive with no moving mechanical components, meaning it’s more resistent to physical shock, has lower access time and less latency than a traditional hard drive. This drive connects with USB 3.0.
I think that’s pretty clear but possibly a bit hard to find among all the glossy pictures.
