Wonder if someone can advise please.
When using EZD1 or 2 as a VSTi, and say on multichannel output of EZdrummer, what is it that saves the mixer channel output setting on the EZ mixer, within the DAW project?
For example, using Cubase or any DAW, say i start with a default kit on EZ, and then add say a compressor on the bass drum only (on the EZ output channel/DAW input channel, within the DAW, and then alter the volume slider on the EZ gui, and save and close the project………Then reopen the Cubase project, how does EZ know what the bass drum slider should be set at?
Is it the DAW that saves the input volume details of what the bass drum’s output should be, and somehow tells it to adjust?
When you save a project in your DAW, it will ask all the plugins about their state of its controllers. EZdrummer will send the data that the kick volume slider is set to -5 dB, for example. The next time you open the project in the DAW, it will set all the plugins and their controllers to their saved state, e.g. the kick channel in EZdrummer will be set to -5 dB etc.

Great.
So it’s safe to uninstall EZDrummer, (or any other VSTi/ plugin), then reinstall as all the settings are saved in the DAW itself and not via the pluggin.
Thanks.
