Hi,
a few years ago I upgraded my PC with a SSD, and since then I have not re-installed any of my Toontrack products. I want to do that this week, but I have a few questions:
1. can I just use the Product Manager to re-install all my products without even using the installation CDs/DVDs? or do I still need to run the discs to install all my products?
2. I saw on my TT account that my products that I had installed on my old hard-drive (which I am not using anymore) are still authorized to that old hard-drive. Can I simply remove those authorizations when I re-install my products onto my new SSD? If so, can I remove the old authorizations before I re-install or should I do that afterwards?
3. what’s considered a good practice with regard to where to install the products to? I have my SSD which still has about 361 GB free of 456 GB. But I also have a big HDD drive which I use for storing data. Would it be best to install all my TT software onto the SSD? Or would it be better to install only the plugin into the plugin folder (which is on my SSD) but to install all the sound libraries onto my HDD drive? would that make the software slower? I have quite a lot of products (EZDrummer 1 and 11 EZXs, SD2 and 4 SDXs as well as DFH Superior 1 and EZ Mix 1, 2 and 4 EZmix packs. Would I be able to fit all of that including the libraries onto my SSD which still has 361 GB free?
thank you very much in advance.
