Hi- I’m new to Ableton so I’m looking for advice specific to that-
Specifically, I’m having issues with loops that are dropped into the “clip slot” in Ableton.
I use a Yamaha DTX setup through EZD2 and everything works and sounds fine. I can record and play back and everything sounds like I want.
But if I drag a clip to Ableton’s clip slot, when that clip plays back, the hihat is messed up- all the hits are open when they should be closed.
I can play the original clip and it sounds fine, I can cut and paste the original clip and it sounds fine. But if I drop it into the the clip slot (which is sort of the whole point of Ableton’s workflow) the resulting clip has messed up hihats.
I’m using EZD2 and I have the edrum setting to Yamaha. But the problem seems specific to Ableton, and only for clips dropped into the “clip slot.”
Hi,
perhaps the Clip Slot has a MIDI Filter On for CC messages?
BR,
John
