I put a new song in my music website called “He Won’t Lead You Astray”. The song has Big Rock Drums EZX operating within Superior Drummer. Please tell me how you like the song and how it can be improved, and I can return the favor if you wish (leave me a link). My song is at this link:

Cool .
Vocal a bit loud ?
Transition from that arpeggiated synth bit back too the groove is sudden, can you not just fade it out longer or did that not work ?
Like the Kick but in comparison the snare seems soft in comparison but maybe you like it that way.
Matthew,
Thank you for listening & commenting! I can’t remember specifically experimenting with how fast the arpeggiated synth fades out at the point you mention, though I probably did. Assuming I did experiment with that, I probably just stuck with what sounded best to me. I mixed this on headphones, so that may be why the vocals sound a bit loud. I would probably drive my wife & daughter insane if I mixed on monitors, plus I like the sound of headphones anyway. I generally put u-he Presswerk compression on the entire drum track. I suppose I could experiment using Superior Drummer’s (#2) built in compressors for the snare. I will now look around to see if you posted any demos….though I did not find anything recent. Are you from a particular country? I’m always curious where people are from when they comment on my music. 🙂
