Product manager will only install to my C drive. I don’t have the space to be doing this. I need to find a way to change Product Manager’s installation path. I am not talking about the download path, that is already sorted.
For which product? Plug-ins usually have a standard location/folder and moving them may result in problems for future updates. Sound libraries, however can be moved and when done properly will allow for subsequent installations to follow suite.

Hi,
if you mean Superior SDX libraries, you can move the entire ‘SL-Xxxxx’ folder to a new location and then relink it.
Please see the Manual:

Why aren’t you recognizing the need for the manager’s ability to redirect an SDX or whatever you like to call your library file’s to a specific download path? If you are using an ssd system drive of minimum size you are not going to want to fill it with libraries. Also if you own an additional SSD drive, you will want to down load to it and not put it in one place and then move it. Especially on a MAC which does not simply cut and paste but needs to move and then delete source method. A manager app should manage that! No?
Also your link is redirecting the the user page not the manual

Thanked by: BrianOn a Mac the Product Manager download target is changed in preferences. When the installer is run for an EZX or SDX you can identify where the actual sound library gets installed.

Thanked by: Brian and David HilliardNot sure if this helps now so far down the line but on the Product Manager, go to Tools > Options – then in the middle of the window under download location it allows you to change the drive 🙂 Had the same issue!

Thanked by: Phillip Yarish, Brian and jimsantoI’ve read to the end of this and I still have no idea how to move my sound library location on a Mac.
Can someone make this clear?

Thanked by: BrianI don’t understand why this is so difficult to find the answers to. Native Instruments makes it simple. It’s pretty common to put all of these instruments on an external hard drive.

Thanked by: BrianHi guys,
it seems you are asking about different things in this thread.
It is one thing to change the Downloads location in the Product Manager, i.e. where all downloaded installation files end up.
This is done by going to the ‘Toontrack Download Manager’ file menu, then Preferences (or hitting Cmd+,) on a Mac and ‘Tools > Options’ on Windows.
When you install a new SDX library, you can set the location for it during the installation.
If you wish to move it post installation, you can simply move it in the Finder/Explorer and either:

Thanked by: Brian and rorydm84Wow this sucks Bro I really hate hate hate that your product manager. It does NOT show any dropdowns to change products path after moving things to new SSD drives. Ive been all around this terrible terrible product manager, and tried re directing things in the stand alone apps themselves. Some limited success but I want everyone here to know toon track has a terrbile problem with their lame product manager. It is 1/2 baked. Some things can be fixed in the apps by redirecting, rarely, other can be redirected under Installation info, and usually, moving things to a new location or computer results in the RIDICULOUS need to reinstall, for me, 57 librarys! YOUR INSTALLATION MANAGER SUCKS! Redesign the damn thing to make it EASY for users to redirect to new SSDs and redesign your product to not lose its mind when moving libraries around. SUCKS!

Thanked by: guerrajma and erenk80still SD Drummer can only be installed to C drive, where i have not enough space. what to do?
Hi,
are you referring to the plug-in (software) or the Library?
Either way, you can Custom install both, albeit there is no real need for Custom installing the software, since it does n’t take up much space and generally I would advise not to, since it may risk you having troubles down the road.
Please let us know which so we may help you.

Please Help……..
Dear Sirs,
I am trying to install my products without any success.
I am using the Product Manager on a Windows 10 Home 64bit PC to install my products but keeps on repeating the same mistake of not properly installing the files in the Location Paths I need. I have erased and reinstalled two times with no luck.
Q. Is there a way to change the install locations in the Product Manager?. If so, could you please show me how to do this for the Product Manager does not have a Preferences Tab nor a way to change my file locations.
I will not try to reinstall my products until I have a proper way of doing so.
Thank you very much for your help!.
Best Regards,
Arturo Manfredi
