I have the Demo version of EZDrummer 2 and am evaluating it with my Alesis Crimson II. I’m having a problem: rack tom 1 and rack tom 2 are both triggering the same drum. All other pads are working fine. Is there a way I can correct this, so that rack tom 2 has the correct sound? Thank you for helping with this.
Hi,
the only way would be to edit the MIDI note being sent from your module. EZdrummer 2 has no MIDI Note edit capabilities.
Open the Instrument properties for the Tom in question (in Ezdrummer 2) and then ‘Details’ to see which note must be sent from your module to trigger it.
I take it none of the ‘Alesis’ E-drums MIDI mappings worked for you, then?
BR,
John

John, thank you for the quick reply. After my original post, I found a workaround: if I select “Roland” under MIDI Mapping rather than “Alesis”, then it maps to the correct toms. “Alesis Crimson II” does correctly appear under MIDI Device. Since it is now working properly using the Roland MIDI Mapping, I should be in good shape. This way, I won’t need to edit the MIDI note in my module.
