Hi all
I have been using ezdrummer for a while with studio one and am happy with it. This morning I have decided to get also the ezkeys software so to expand the sounds palette of my songs but studio one cannot find it in the vst page where ezdrummer is. Why that? How can I solve this problem? Thanks
Hi,
you’re on Mac, right?
Can you start the EZkeys standalone app?
Is there a ‘Scan’ or ‘Re-Scan’ option for plugins in the Studio One preferences?

Hi john
I am on mac. If I use ezkeys as standalone it works greatly. Only on studio one I cannot find it in the instruments list.
I have not found the “scan” in the daw…..what is it? Tks
OK,
I found this video on YouTube, maybe it will help?

I was going to say, go into preferences > Locations > VST Plug Ins and select “Reset Blacklist” and make sure your VST plug in libraries are in the list… but that video explains it pretty well.
Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro, Pro Tools Studio
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)
Thanks guys. Tomorrow I will try this..I will let you know.
I take this oppportunity to ask another thing…..when I use ezdrummer as standalone I can trigger the pads of the drums with my midi keyboard. In this way I can play the fills and the rhythms I want.
However when I use ezdrummer in studio one I do not have this possibility and can only use the preloaded samples (I.e. When I play my midi keyboard no sounds happen). Why that?
Thanks for the patience.
Does the track you have EZDrummer inserted in look like this?

I tried to do these steps but do not know where the ezkeys sound library is…..
The sound library and the plug-in is 2 very different things. So let’s be clear on what you are asking. You original post said that S1 couldn’t locate the plug-in, which by default is located in; /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST (for Studio One)
Your sound library is a different story and I think they are installed in /Library/Application Support/EZKeys (?)
The reason I am not exactly sure is I have moved all Toontrack libraries to an external SSD.
Hope this helps a little.
