I am running a Windows 10 insider preview build. All other software works fine, but ToonTrack Product Manager gives me the following error on the main screen when I run it:
UPDATE PRODUCT MANAGER
Update check failed.
The network operation failed (cURL error code 35).
Retry and Quit buttons are shown.
Any ideas?
Hi,
could you please tell me where you are located?
Do you still have problems?

Yep. Same problem here. Latest insider preview W64 and a cURL 35 error with product manager. I am in Finland.

Hi,
is this when you start PM and it wants to auto-update?
Do you have the same problem today?

Happening here also with latest W10 preview 16257.
Just found reported SSL problems with time sync in W10. Changing the timezone setting from automatic to manual selection fixed issue. Apparently sometimes recurs and toggling automatic setting will fix.
Yes,
the cURL 35 error is “SSL connection error”, usually it would indicate a proxy setting problem or something like e.g. a filter at your ISP.
Interesting workaround to the problem, I will pass this info along.

I have the same issue, using the latest Win10 home insider preview, build 16251. Located in the Netherlands. Authorizing online when manually installing products also doesn’t work (possibly same reason). I have to authorize offline.
I also can’t seem to download my Superior Drummer kits without the product manager. 🙁

That is correct. You can only download Superior Drummer libraries via Product Manager.

Hello Scott,
Any help with this issue? I can’t run product manager either. Same error that evryone else is getting. Windows 10 Insider Preview Edition , Version 1703. So far no oone has addressed this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks
See post #5 above. Someone found a workaround for those using Windows 10 insider preview until Microsoft fixes their bug.

I have also tried toggling the Time Zone setting from Automatic to Manual (as well as back to Automatic) with no luck. While I can appreciate that the error may be caused by a bug in Windows 10, I still have paid quite a bit of money for software I can’t even install–much less use.
Is the any workaround I can use to install this software? I tried the manual download, but authorization fails. Curiously, when prompted for my computer ID number, the prompt calls for one more character than my computer ID has ( as reported by Settings/ About Windows).
I would really appreciate some help with this issue.

I will need to query the programmers but it is recommended that users use a supported and official OS and not a preview build as we can’t be expected to know how our programs function in preview builds. But, again, I’ll ask the programmers for advice.

From the programmers:
They can try disabling any internet security software, Kaspersky for example. Or try using an anonymous VPN.
