    1. Is it true, I can take patterns from ez drummer 2,
upload it into pro tools 12,
edit it as a midi and add/delete any/all and move drums for a custom pattern using the piano roll?

    Yes, absolutely.

ok but does it actually work that simple?
I mean can you really just open ez drummer 2 in protools as a plugin start completely from scratch and basically build a piano roll version of the drums?
also, in the event of doing that how would u be able to do say ” double bass ” and things like that? I’m terrible when it comes to midi recording so having a piano roll or some kind of mapping to where I can adjust the times without having to actually record that is “key”

It’s just that easy. Insert EZDrummer 2 on a stereo instrument track and open the plug-in, choose the “kit” you want to use, then switch to the PT edit window and either drag a groove from the EZDrummer 2 groove library to the time line OR simply right click the empty track and choose “MIDI Editor”. In order to know which MIDI note correspond to which kit piece and articulation, in the plug-in, select Menu > About Sound Libraries and pick the layout of the kit you are using.
