as crazy as that sounds, what’s the best way to go about mapping 2 full td 30s?
I’d very much like to keep it on 1 instance of SD for the sake of work flow and bleed/ect…
should I basically just create my own midi map from scratch?
i.e. start from 1 and map each cymbal/drum in a row or something?
i.e.
20 rack tom 1
21 rack tom 1 rim
22 rack tom 2
23 rack tom 2 rim
??
and I’m guessing I might have to create separate CC lanes for the 2nd hats/ride maybe?
i.e. 2nd hi hat would be CC5 and the notes would be sequential after the first hats or w/e for organizations sake? its going to be a bit until I get the 2nd hihat, and I’m still waiting on a few more triggers, but I’ve got the bulk of my kit and I’m setting it all back up, so getting everything right once is ideal, as with both my drumming and my writing will generally fall into a very narrow mix variation, so at most i’d just have to EQ the same preset a little different – so going through the work of a long setup is worth it
grand total will be:
2 hats
2 rides
1 snare
3 floor toms
3 rack roms
2 kicks
7 cymbals
4 bar triggers(BT1)
