First of all greetings! I’m new here on the forums, been using Toontrack’s products for years though, love them all!
Anyhow the reason for this post is thus: I’m a fourth (and final) year music production student at Tampere University Of Applied Sciences here in Tampere, Finland and currently working on my bachelor’s thesis. The topic is generally about modelling technology in metal music (both hardware and software) and its effects on the metal music industry. Superior Drummer and other Toontrack products will be one major focus on the software side (alongside other market leaders) but it’s not just about one instrument, I’ll be delving into bass, guitars, vocals and synths too.
I’m currently at the information retrieval phase, and while I will be conducting expert interviews, I will also need books and other published material as source material. The university doesn’t like it if you just use internet sources, in fact that can lead to rejection of the thesis.
So I thought I’d try and utilise the community here and see if you have any reading to recommend for me. It can be directly regarding the subject or something adjacent, physical or virtual. Thanks already in advance 🙂
