I’m wondering if there is a way to turn off the metronome when using Tap to Find. I’m trying to tap something out while listening to what I want to base the part on and it’s very distracting.
Hi,
currently no. The metronome click is the only way for you to know which tempo you are tapping your search groove in, since it is freely adjustable in Tap2Find.

Thanks–this makes sense.
But one thing I’m not clear about is the adjustment, which is shown as a percentage: What does that represent, the % of the default tempo (like 120 bpm)?
I wish that you could just tell it the bpm you want and then tap the part.
Maybe I’m missing something.
It’s a percentage of the Tempo the standalone/plugin is at currently.

Not sure what this means. I just opened it standalone. By default the tempo knob is shown at 12 o’clock (100%). If I move it to 80%, what is that 80% of? In other words, is there a default tempo?
agreed illogical to compete with a click.
ex. listening to a song over monitors on you tube very difficult to tap in a tempo with a click that is already in progress. or is there a way to shut the click off and start it when you want it to begin .
‘frustrating
Seems like a somewhat bizarre way of using Tap-To-Find, considering that you can tap in a tempo on the timeline and play to whatever is in on your monitors on it for as long as you need without a metronome. You can then chop the most best part of it and then use that region in Tap-To-Find by right-clicking on it and then building your groove another track (you have as many as you need in this case).
