I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but it is a relevant pre-sales question…..
Can EZ drummer accept midi files that are created outside the Toontrack universe? Can I bring in midi files I have created myself as loops, or even Apple loops? Can a friend halfway around the world play his Roland Electric drum kit (he is a much better drummer than I), record it, and then send me midi files I can use as grooves?
What is the easiest way to do this if we are both running Macs?
Can I then bring midi files into “Tap to find”?
I appreciate your time in answering this 🙂
Hi,
EZdrummer 2 can play back any MIDI file that is GM compliant for drums.
Apple loops isn’t MIDI, right? So that wouldn’t work.
EZdrummer 2 also has some E-drum MIDI maps, including Roland, built-in which should work with the MIDI files your E-drumming friend sends you.
If you drop 3rd party or your own MIDI files onto the Tap 2 Find box, EZdrummer 2 will display Toontrack and EZdrummer 2 processed MIDI files from the library in the results.

John
