Hi!
I am using EZKeys with Cubase 8 AI and everything works fine so far. But every time i drag/copy a midi from EZKeys to my DAW a SysEx track gets created automatically. Well, i have just a rough understanding of what SysEx is and what it is used for. Is it really needed fo the DAW and EzKeys to “communicate” or is there another way ? Because i try not to have these extra tracks for SysEx information, if it’s not necessary. So, do i really need it or can i switch that off ? Or can the SysEx information be “merged” into one track ?
I work that way: I program the Midi lines in EZKeys primarily and then copy/drag them to the DAW for some final adjustments here and there (e.g. deleting the left hand bass notes).
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
you need to go into the Preferences in Cubase and check the MIDI Import Options, I think it’s located under Preferences>MIDI>MIDI File>Import Options>.
