Hello and apologies for writing this – I’m new to this (used to record on 16 track Fostex Tape machine)
I downloaded EZ keys Mellotoon and Upright Piano and all was fine laying down some test tracks onto my Studio One Artist software.
I have since downloaded Native Instruments String Ensemble and since downloading it and that dreadful Kontakt player my EZ keys now opens with Kontak player and when I drag a small piano or mellotoon midi file onto Studio One the file is all over the place and it sounds like two midi files playing – one from EZ keys and one from Studio One Artist but it wasn’t like that before.
Please help an old fart from throwing something out of the window (probably the Missus).
Is there any way I can stop Kontakt from utilizing my EZ keys (and vice versa)?
Thanks!
Charlie
Hi,
I am not sure I follow but one thing to check is if the ‘Follow host’ is active or not. If you have MIDI on the EZKeys Song Track and send MIDI from your host, you will hear EZkeys play back both what is sent from the host and what is on the Song Track.
If Studio One creates a new Instrument Track when you drag and drop MIDI from EZkeys, it has to be a Preference setting that is changed in Studio One.

Thanks John,
Is EZ Keys supposed to open up with Kontakt Player?
Regards,
Charlie
Hi,
it is simply not possible, since EZkeys is its own plugin but I am guessing that you mean that MIDI dragged from EZkeys opens up an instance of Kontakt Player in Studio One?
If so, this must be a Studio One Preference. If this is not what you mean, please elaborate; what exactly are you doing when you expect EZkeys but get Kontakt?
