Individual tweaking of specific MIDI notes need to be done in your DAW. There is no MIDI editor in EZD2. Optionally, you can use the Edit Play Style for making MIDI parts simpler or busier in a musical way. But, if you want to tweak specific note velocities or draw notes in by hand, you’ll need to use your DAW.

    Oh really?! :-O Damn…

I have Sequel LE, and thought i could use it as standalone because it’s not compatible 🙁

Is there a cheap/free DAW compatible with EZD? Or any other way to edit the MIDI notes?

Reaper is a good DAW and is pretty cheap. It also has a full evaluation version to try and see if you like it. It includes a MIDI editor.

    Hi,

Apologies in advance if this question is answered elsewhere.

I have ezy drummer 3 and am very happy with the quality and ease of using the software. However, there are times when after using the song editor I would still like to delete individual hits ect. After creating the song I drag it into PreSonus Studio One professional, but it closes the DaW. I have tried saving the ezy drummer midi file on the desktop and then drag it into studio one, but I haven’t had any luck.

Should I be able to achieve this with ezydrummer 3 and studio one professional, or do I need superior drummer.

    Appreciate you help.

    Kind Regards

You should definitely be able to drag the MIDI from EZdrummer 2 to Studio One. You can drag it from the song track, or straight from the Search, or Browser, in EZdrummer 2.

Does Studio One crash as soon as you drag in the MIDI to it? Can you check if there are any available updates for Studio One, since this sounds like a bug in Studio One.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response, we have been moving house.
I’m able to open ezdrummer in studio one and also see the midi information in the piano scroll. However, I cannot edit the midi information. There are times I just want to delete an individual snare hit to suit the song better.
    Kind Regards

This sounds like an issue in Studio One…

    • Can you edit other MIDI than MIDI that’s dragged from EZdrummer 2?
    • Can you add a new MIDI block on the EZd2 track and add and edit MIDI notes to that?
