Greetings,
After failing to locate SD2 in Studio One Pro 3 64Bit, I realised that the 64 SD2 is being installled in Program Files(x86) instead of Program Files.
Running Windows 10 Pro 64.
Product Manager says the 64 is instaled – and the 32 Not – but it is going to the 32bit install location.
Solo is however going to the 64bit install location.
Why is SD2 installing to the Windows 32bit directory?
Is this normal?
Where is the 64bit location for SD2 and the .dll so I can access via Studio One 3 Pro.
Cheers,
Locus
Hi,
this sounds strange but please try the following:
1) Uninstall the Superior 2 plugin
2) Perform a Search on your system for ‘Superior Drummer.dll’ and delete all instances that show up.
3) Reinstall the 32-bit first, then the 64-bit.
Please check in the Product Manager by clicking the Superior 2 product, ‘Show Details’ and then the Installation Info that your components are installed.
The default location of a 32-bit Toontrack plug-in on a 64-bit Operating system is
C:ProgramFiles(x86)VstPluginsToontrack32bit.
The default location of a 64-bit Toontrack plug-in on a 64-bit system is
C:ProgramFilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit.
I hope this helps.
BR,
John

HI John,
I agree it is bizarre. I did uninstall SD and redo, but I did not do 32bit first.
I will do that now.
I will uninstall everything, SD, Solo, Avatar and Progressive SDX and install both bit.
Attached is the screencap of the current install from PM.
Come back to you.
Cheers,
Locus
Hi John,
Before re-installing I checked the VST/Toontrack folder and nothing was present.
What I did differently this time is install SD2 first and then Solo.
This seems to have done the trick.
I see the DLL.

On Win 10, I was able to locate the superiordrummer.dll file in ProgramFiles(x86)/Toontrack/VSTPlugins/Toontrack folder, and in ProgramFiles/Cakewalk(SonarX2)/VSTplugins/Toontrack folder. The filepath in the Cakewalk folder allowed me to open Superior Drummer in Reason 10 but, not the one in the (x86) folder. Anyway, I’m happy to be done with the search and, appreciate the suggestion to look for the .dll file.
