Mostly all good but two problems came up I want to remedy/have answers to before I buy it. I’m using a Roland TD-11VK and I’m on Mac OS 10.11.
1. Setting the device type to Roland in EZdrummer seemed to give me more problems than if I just left it on None. Any reason for this? Am I missing out on anything by not having Roland selected? I know I can re-map via the TD-11 module but the pre-configured mappings when Roland was selected were worse than if I had None selected.
2. I couldn’t find where to download Solo to try out alongside the demo on the Toontrack site but I found a download of it on the web. I could not get it to recognize my EZdrummer install. Does EZdrummer 2 come with a newer version of Solo/is it only available after EZdrummer is purchased? Is Solo still a program that is used with EZdrummer at all? I really want to be able to use Solo if I purchase EZdrummer 2.
Thank you!
I can’t comment on your first question because I don’t use a Roland kit, but for your second question;
Solo was or EZdrummer 1 and Superior Drummer 2 to be used in standalone mode (without a DAW). EZdrummer 2 comes with a Standalone version that doesn’t need Toontrack Solo.
