I am playing EZDrummer 2, AD 2 and GrooveAgent SE 4 (comes with Cubase) with Yamaha DTXplorer e-drum kit via Ploytec MIDI-to-USB-cable .
In AD 2 and Groove Agent SE 4 it is working fine. Some fine tuning concerning hihat and triple zone snare is necessary but over all it’s working.
In EZD I have chosen the “Yamaha E-Drum preset”.
The sounds are working as expected, the MIDI velocity however is recorded very low as I can see in Cubase’s drum editor. In AD 2 and GA SE 4 velocity is recorded correctly.
Has anyone got an idea how to fix the velocity problem? I would prefer to play EZD 2 instead of AD 2 and GA SE 4 because I love the sounds.
Hi Unifaun,
Hi Unifaun,
did you compare the velocitylevels from your Outgoing Message (Module) to the incoming Level in EZ-Drummer??
Had similar experiences with my Roland TD-20 using AD and Superior-Drummer. AD sounded more agressiv by the same Levels.
Hallo Derilja,
Hello Derilja,
I’ve got the impression that the output levels of the DTXplorer seem to be ok. As a matter of fact the velocity values seem to be fine with hp, in AD and GA SE 4.
Input velocity can’t be changed in EZD, only in SD.
