Hello –
I have a license for EZdrummer 1.4, and I’d like to upgrade to 2. I also noticed the AWESOME Black Friday sale today on EZdrummer Superior. Is there an “Upgrade” option, or do I just have to buy the full license?
Thank you!
James
The EZD1 to EZD2 upgrade was discontinued on December 31 2015.
You would need to purchase the full license now.
BTW, EZdrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 2 are two separate products.

That REALLY sucks. Now when I’m buying a new PC it would be a good time to finally upgrade EZD1 to EZD2 but there’s NO way I’m going to pay for the full license.
As a Black Friday sale Superior Drummer 2 is cheaper than EZdrummer 2… but I don’t want it. I prefer EZD over that for a reason. I just make demos with it and rather mix and master later the REAL drums. Sure, you’d get a one free EZX but in Finland here’s a retailer selling those 29€/per EZX while you’re selling them for 41€ “sale”.
EDIT: Actually I’ll get that EZdrummer 1 to 2 upgrade from there as well for 69€.

Buy what you want where you can find the best price and be happy.

The point is lack of respect for customers.
Anyway. I am happy now when I found cheaper alternatives.

That’s your opinion. Toontrack offered an upgrade path from EZD1 to EZD2 for over a year and a half from when EZD2 was released. April 2014 to December 31 2015. It is now the end of 2016.
