I am attempting to use my Alesis midi kit with Superior Drummer.
I created the folder “MidiPresets” which did not exist prior.
C:Users
ameDocumentsToontrackSuperior2MidiPresets
I dropped some files in there.
The presets aren’t showing up in the Mapping area of superior. Further, when I click “Manage In Explorer” nothing happens.
Any thoughts / help appreciated.
Hi,
what kind of files did you drop there and how were they created?
If you create a MIDI Preset, just by going to the Mapping page and then ‘Presets > MIDI > Save As…’ and save a ‘Test’ Preset, doesn’t it show up in that folder and in the User Presets list in Superior 2?

Hello,
I created a test preset like you instructed. The test preset shows up in the User Presets list in Superior, but not in the folder within Windows explorer. Any suggestions on what folder it could be using?
I downloaded “Alesis mapping files” from their web forum – http://www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php?topic=2957.0

Hi,
when you created that test preset that shows up in the Users Presets list, did you try clicking the ‘Manage in Explorer’ entry after? And it is opening an empty folder?
Or am I misunderstanding you?

1. Click Presets Drop down
2. Highlight Midi Option
3. Click Save As..
4. Name preset “Test” and clicked Save
5. Clicked ‘Manager Explorer’ and Nothing Happens.
Further, If I click ‘Remove Preset’ and ‘Delete’ Toontrack gives me an error notification ‘Could not delete the preset on disk’
I would like to find out where I can Manage all of these presets because I need to load the preset files supplied by the user on the Alesis board I linked in my post above.
My goal is to get the correct mappings on the Toontrack kit as per the Alesis midi kit so that I can ‘Learn’ each drum and use the kit to play.
I had this working once before, but had to factory restore the Alesis drum module, and now all of the drum hits seem to not trigger the correct drums, even with Superior’s ‘learn function’. I believe I need to first load in these Alesis files which I showed above. The instructions say I should just move them into C:Users
ameDocumentsToontrackSuperior2MidiPresets but this directory did not exist. I tried creating the directory thinking it would perhaps fix this “Manage my Explorer” no show problem, but nada.
