In EZdrummer 2 (both in the standalone application and as plug-in in a host) you can export the MIDI on the song track as a wave file, which is possible to loop.
Does that answer your question? 🙂

Is it possible to create a wave file that loops without any silence added.
I also use a multitrack recorder and other software that uses wave files but have to trim them to get them to loop properly.
    Thanks

I’ve never heard of bouncing to a .wav adding silence to a file. Bouncing to MP3 does, however.

I have tried the 16bit and the 24bit midi to wave within EZdrummer 2 and I get nearly three seconds of silence at the end of the file.
There must be a setting somewhere to stop this happening. I did not see an option for MP3.
I can use my DAW but I thought I didn’t have to.
Thanks again. PS I love this software not moaning just asking.

Ok. I totally misunderstood what you were asking. I thought you were saying you have wave loops created somewhere (not in EZD2) that were exporting with silence at the beginning or end.

The way the EZD2 exports to .wav is it takes in account the length of the last sample(s) played and renders the sound fully with decay and all. It won’t truncate the sample to make it ‘loop’. If you want that, you will need to edit it in your DAW using your audio editor.

The indented purpose of the ‘Export Song as WAVE File’ option is to, when you’re done creating your full drum track in the EZD2 Song Track, to bounce to audio and import the whole thing into your DAW. I don’t think it was meant to bounce short 2 bar or whatever MIDI groove to ‘loops’.

Thanks for the reply It doesn’t take long using DAW software anyway.
I see what you mean about the decay. That makes sense to me now.
