Hey everyone —
I recently purchased EZ Keys and so far I’m impressed!
I just had one question (and maybe it’s a very simple answer) but I thought I’d ask:
If I come up with my own chord progression within EZ-Keys for (say) a verse, how do I get it so that the browser will recommend me a suggestion for a new progression for a chorus, or pre chorus that’s still based upon my original chord progression?
Whenever I search the browser it obviously gives me suggestions, but the chord progression is never related to my original idea whatsoever.
Thanks so much!
Hi Jason
I think what you are wanting is illustrated in the following video at 6:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4XJqVrPw8c
He selects/highlights the desired passage in the building block work area, clicks on the “use browser midi” (that’s just above left-side of the work area) and then clicks on the various clips in the browser and it will play your chord changes using its own phrasing.
Maybe someone else will come on and give a better explanation.
FWIW, I was sure happy when I learned to do this. I constructed a few songs by listening to the clips with the wrong chord changes and “estimating” if it would work for me after manually changing all the chords once I drug it to the work area.
Don’t forget the “Randomize” function accessed by right-clicking a chord block in the EZD2 Song Track
and then applying MIDI from the Browser.
