Hey guys what’s up.
I have the metal bundle of EZD2 and I have a few questions. My writing style isn’t typically a radio rock template. I like to mix things up with tempo changes as I’m a huge Pantera fan. You’ll hear a lot of what I’m talking about in Reprise (Sandblasted Skin) / Fkin Hostile etc.
I’m using logic pro x as my DAW and what I’ve come to find is that the verses can be typically around 180 bpm or so but I’m having issues going down to a 115 simplistic / hard hitting chorus or breakdown for example. Since I can’t exactly midi build a beat in EZD, how do you suggest going about performing tempo changes in EZD2 with logic? Through keeping it on follow and adding a logic tempo curve from 180 down to 115? Will it still sync correctly and follow correctly?
Also what are your suggestions for any midi packs / ezx packs that would be in more of a vein of avenged sevenfold?
Thanks guys
Regarding your tempo question: Yes, just set up a tempo map in Logic and EZdrummer 2 will follow that tempo – as long as you have the Follow Host button enabled!
I’ll let someone else answer your Avenged Sevenfold question since I’m a Pop/EDM guy 😀

This is exactly what you’ve got to do. I also drag my midi file into logic, to edit it afterward instead of working directly in EZdrummer, but thats just a preference. What sounds are you looking for when your talking about A7X: guitar tones, drum kit, mix preset?
