Ok, my 2010 Macbook with Snow Leopard finally died and with it was EZ Drummer 1 and several expansions which ran flawlessly.
Luckily I had made disk images of them just in case. El Capitan is in my new Macbook and I’m having problems.
1. Installed EZ Drummer 2, and both Garageband and Logic are giving me trouble using it. Sometimes unable to find plug-in
Reinstall? If so, is there a proper procedure?
2. When I try to install the expansions it gives me an install failure saying “there is nothing to install because files are empty”
More of a Mac problem then Toontrack? Are these expansions able to run in EZ 2? Do these expansions run in El Capitan?
3. Install from different source than ISOs?
4. Install ISOs before main EZ 2 software?
I would download ALL installation disc images and updates from your Toontrack account,
installing EZDrummer2 first, then its updates, followed by your EZX expansions and their updates.
All EZX expansions run in EZDrummer2, once updated from your account.
Not sure why you’d have trouble with EZD2 in GarageBand or Logic.
Can you open EZD2 in standalone mode (from the Toontrack folder within “Applications”)?
Logic 8 i hear works fine until you get to 10.8 then it is messed up. I thought about upgrading my 2006 macbook, and thought about getting a 2010 or 11 with 10.7 that has at least 8gb ram.
But i think any i7 mac or 2014 would be best and then get logic x. More expensive but a better sense of being current for a long time.
