Having an issue with panning in EZ Drummer 2

  Hi,

  I recently bought EZ Drummer 2, and the Metal Machine expansion pack. Loving it so far, but having one issue that I can’t figure out how to solve.
  I’m using EZ Drummer 2 in Logic X, and use the multichannel mode, with the drums appearing in the Logic mixer channel section. So, the toms and cymbals are automatically panned around the room on these kits. Brilliant for me, that’s what I like. But the issue is, if I put a plug in on the channel strip of the toms or the overhead, suddenly the panning is lost and it’s all down the middle. Can anyone explain why that is and if there’s a way around it?
