Hi Folks,
Relatively new to EZD3 or studio work in general. I’m not sure this can be done or not so I am asking.
My goal is to be able to write a drum score in a notation program such as Finale and then import the midi into EZD3. That part is easily done.
But then how does one “humanize” the playing so that it feels just like the grooves inside of EZD? In humanize I particularly mean the dynamics (varying velocity) of the playing and not the time rigidity, that I don’t really mind.
Ideally I would simply import my midi from Finale, assign or map the drums for each line in the score, press “humanize” and then play it.
Any such thing or workflow easily doable?
Thanks,
pking
You can drag your custom made drum MIDI to Tap2Find and search for similar beats. If you find anything that sounds similar, you can replace either the entire custom MIDI block, or just parts of it (just the hi-hat for example).
